The
celebrated movement which has a tiny snail as its mascot
confirms its participation
in this year’s edition after 2004’s positive
results.
Slow Food
and San Patrignano
will have a chance to work together in many ways, demonstrating
their common goals and interests. The collaboration
will yield four different projects. The first will be
a learning garden, for our youngest guests, where they
will be able to discover the world of grains. The workshops
will take place in a mini-vegetable garden created especially
for this purpose. After its inception in 2004’s
Turin edition, the Terra Madre experiment will continue
at Squisito!, providing a moment in which we may reflect
on fair trade. One initiative involving coffee is already
underway, with the participation of San Patrignano.
Finally, Slow
Food will be present
with the Osterie d’Italia, as well as a meeting
of educators in the field of restaurant/hotel service
dedicated to the preservation of local techniques and
knowledge.
